By entering a disaffected cinema, in order to shoot a video, Flavie Guerrand had the opportunity with her acolytes to "recover" speakers and a cinema screen which were still there and in perfect working order..
From then she organized parties in her living space - an old garage - and later in a basement in an attempt to keep the spirit of free parties alive. Between the micro free and the mini club, this place became famous locally as somewhere to hang out and get wasted, a gleeful unfettered subculture, and her early forays into video work featured documentation of the parties and the cast of characters that made up this scene. The legacy lives on, with the basement parties’ still running to this day.
